Second Annual Mother's Day Raffle

The Carnegie Library of Midland is currently selling tickets for our second annual Mother's Day raffle. 

Heritage locket with Deco chain & charms

This year's item is a beautiful Origami Owl Heritage Locket on a 30" silver Deco chain (shown above). The stunning silver locket is framed by Swarovski crystals and was donated by Virginia D'Itri Lopata, who is a lifelong Midland resident and Independent Designer for Origami Owl. 

Included inside the locket are three charms ("Mom" heart, cameo, and vintage rose), and ten rose Stardust Swarovski crystals. This would truly make the perfect Mother's Day gift! 

Tickets are being sold individually for $3, or two for $5, and they will be available through April 30th. The drawing will be held on May 2nd.

PA One Book, Every Young Child: 4/15

Wednesday, April 15 at 6 p.m., is the library’s PA One Book, Every Young Child event. This program features stories, songs and activities, and every family attending will receive a free copy of "Number One Sam," by Greg Pizzoli. 

The program is free, but please register by calling the library.

Fair Housing Story Time: 4/7

Tuesday, April 7 at 5 p.m., is the library’s Fair Housing Story Time Program, with guest reader Carmen Wilkerson from the Beaver County Fair Housing Office.  Carmen will be reading 'Toby, the Pet Therapy Dog, Says Be a Buddy, Not a Bully' and 'Helping Dogs (Dog Mania Great Big Dogs).'

After the stories, children attending will enjoy a craft and a snack.  Each child will also receive a free gift bag.
